SEPTEMBER 2025 Inaugural Issue:
Where Our Story Begins
The September 2025 inaugural issue of The Brownstone Magazine marks the beginning of our collective journey. What started with more than 60 Black women seeking authentic community and representation became a digital publication rooted in purpose, truth, and shared experience.
This first issue explores our why, the mission that continues to guide The Brownstone forward. Through powerful storytelling and lived experience, we center voices that refuse to be erased and narratives that demand to be heard. These are the stories that matter. These are our stories.
Inside the September 2025 Issue
Our inaugural issue is anchored in resistance, leadership, and the necessity of representation. From political courage to personal revelation, each feature reflects the urgency that sparked The Brownstone into existence.
This issue includes:
Meet Bailey Billings, CEO of The Brownstone Magazine
Texas Representative Nicole Collier
Felicity Philips Unveiled
Together, these stories establish the foundation of The Brownstone’s editorial voice, one rooted in dignity, truth telling, and collective power.
A Digital Magazine Centering Black Women
The inaugural issue sets the tone for everything that follows. It captures a moment when Black women chose to create space rather than wait to be invited into it.
By documenting acts of resistance, leadership, and self definition, this issue reminds readers that community is not accidental. It is built with intention, courage, and care.
Read the September 2025 issue to experience the origin of The Brownstone Magazine and the voices that shaped its beginning. Every page reflects the conviction that Black women deserve platforms that honor their complexity, leadership, and humanity.
